Hola!

Hola!

This week went by pretty fast. We had some great lessons with some families who are receiving the messages really well and who want to learn more. It is really cool to see people progress spiritually and have a change of heart.

Last week, I had a pretty crazy near-death experience, and only in my third week of the mission! We were walking back from the pizza place where we had lunch last monday, and I was walking on the sidewalk when a truck hauling a trailer pulled up to the stop sign close to where we were. It stopped fairly quickly, although nothing too crazy, but the heavy metal door of the horse trailer it was pulling wasn't locked shut. I felt a gust of wind, and the door swung open and was about 2 inches away from hitting me. My heart was racing for the next couple minutes after that happened. Feel super blessed that I wasn't walking on the street (which is pretty common here), and that at that particular time there was a sidewalk that we could use.

We had our first couple cold days here, although it's back to hot now.

We got to go to the temple in Colonia Juarez on Saturday! They tell me it's the smallest temple in the world. It was really pretty and I always am glad when I get to go. There is an academy right next to the temple that kinda looks like hogwarts, and Elder Souza was wearing a scarf and a trenchcoat, so I found him a stick and we took some pictures.

Also attaching some pictures of the countryside, and some walking we got to do when we got to Dublan, where the temple is. It's a lot greener than it is here, even though it's only about 45 minutes away. Also took a picture of a really cool looking building, and only after taking the picture of it (yellow building) did I realize what was in the foreground. We also had an awesome sunrise this morning (Mexican daylight savings is a week before America's).

During a lesson this week, as I was pulling out a Book of Mormon from my backpack, a cockroach was attached to the book and kinda freaked me out, especially since it was in such a cool part of the lesson. I tried as best as I could not to freak out too much, and the cockroach fell off and crawled away. Elder Jensen found it as we were leaving and tried to kill it but it got away. Hopefully it doesn't cause our investigators too much trouble.

Not a whole lot of time to write this week, but honestly I got everything in I really wanted to say.

Love you guys, and take care of yourselves as Jesus would take care of you!
