More Zaragoza People
Not really a whole lot to write this week. Had a headache pretty much all week long. Went on divisions with Elder Van Dyke from Kaysville, Utah. Daylight savings happened, even though we didn't know anything about it until another missionary called and asked us about it (nobody tells us anything on the mission haha). Took out 5000 pesos for our rent, monthly money, and the rent for other missionaries. Made a sad face when an investigator wasn't there when he said he was going to be. Rained a lot this week too actually. Streets turned into rivers again.
Met some more interesting people this week. Made eye contact with a dude who was peeing in the middle of an alleyway and made no effort to hide it. Ate lunch with a member who is sad because there are other church members that say she's a witch and that they disagree with the fact that she thought she was supposed to marry a teenager since she had a dream about it (she's about 60). Also been teaching an older man who has one eye and just sits outside on a chair outside his house drinking coke for about 10 hours of the day.
Had an interesting experience when talking with a member this week where I just realized the importance of doing your ministering work. Whether that be through visiting people personally, giving them a call, making them cookies, or just doing anything to let them know that others are thinking of them, it's really important. It is one of the most important parts of missionary work, and it spreads more love than you realize, and it only takes an hour or two every week, if that. I'd really like to encourage you guys to keep doing your ministering work and make it meaningful, and I promise it will help you feel joy and satisfaction too.
Until next week,
-EP
